Lake Forest, surrounded by Irvine and Mission Viejo is a city comprised of 10 planned communities that make up 12 square miles of land. With a population of nearly 80,000, it is the most densely populated city in Orange County, but also has the distinction of being ranked as one of the safest cities in the country.

Lake Forest residents enjoyed two man-made lakes in addition to 27 city parks, Etnies Skate Park, and Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park provide nearly endless opportunities for fun. Lake Forest Beach and Tennis Club is another popular option for recreation. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate having the Lake Forest Golf and Practice Center right in their backyard. This 9-hole executive course offers a friendly atmosphere for all skill levels.

The central location of Lake Forest with easy access to both the 5 Freeway and 241 toll road makes trips to nearby attractions easy as well.

Lake Forest is also known for being the home of the 8th largest church congregation in the country, Saddleback Community Church. Annual events hosted by the city also help develop a sense of community among Lake Forest residents. In celebration of the area’s rich history, the Rancho Days Fiesta held in May at Heritage Hills Historical Park features Native American Dancers, crafting exhibits, and storytellers who bring the past to life. The Victorian Christmas celebration, held on the first Saturday of December is another popular event each year.

Despite being a new city, incorporated in 1991, Lake Forest is surrounded by a rich natural environment. Neighborhoods are full of mature trees. Homes have been built over the past several decades and are new today, guaranteeing that buyers will find many different sizes and styles to choose from. Overseeing everything Lake Forest related, is the Lake Forest Community Association which enforces all Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC and Rs). It also maintains an active website that allows Lake Forest residents to communicate via message boards and a resident directory.
